We manage the project submittal and follow up on its status until the utility responds.
Responses to comments
If the utility issues comments, we adjust the documents and resubmit them within the agreed scope.

What we need to quote
- Property address and municipality
- Account or meter number, if the connection already exists
- Existing electrical design, or architectural drawings to prepare it
- Owner or applicant details required by the procedure
- Required load or list of equipment
Scope and clarifications
- Approval and response times depend on the utility: ECOHIDRO cannot guarantee them.
- Fees, payments and works required by the utility are not included unless the proposal says so.
- If the design was prepared by a third party, it is reviewed first (Electrical analysis and review) and it is agreed who signs it as responsible engineer.
- Design is not an inspection or a certification of the installation: conformity of a built installation is declared by the installer and, where applicable, certified by an accredited inspection body.
About utility submittal of electrical projects
What is an electrical project submittal?
It is the formal presentation of the design to the distribution utility so it can review it before a new load is connected, an existing load is increased or networks are built. The submittal opens the procedure and the utility responds with its approval or comments.
Who receives the submittal in the Coffee Region?
The distribution utility of the municipality where the property is located. Utilities in the region include Energía de Pereira, CHEC (Caldas and most of Risaralda) and EDEQ (Quindío); we confirm which one applies and what it requires before preparing the documents.
Can you submit a design I already have?
Yes, after reviewing it. If adjustments are needed for the procedure, we let you know and quote them separately.
