Cookie policy

This website does not use tracking or third-party cookies. Here we explain what it stores in your browser, why and how to delete it.

  • No tracking
  • No advertising
  • Technical preferences only

Last updated: October 18, 2026.

This is an English translation for convenience. The Spanish version is the governing text.

1.What a cookie and local storage are

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser and that the browser sends back to the server on each visit. Local storage (localStorage) is a space in the browser where a website can save preferences; unlike cookies, that information does not travel to the server.

2.What this website stores in your browser

The website does not set its own cookies. It only stores these preferences in local storage:

KeyPurposeDuration
eh_cookiesRemembers that you have already seen the cookie and data notice, so it is not shown again.Until you clear the site data in your browser.
eh-themeStores the theme you chose (light or dark).Until you clear the site data in your browser.
eh-sectorStores the sector you chose to personalize the assessments and the “Avoid penalties” page.Until you clear the site data in your browser.

None of these preferences contains personal data or allows you to be identified. The assessments and calculators run in your browser and do not store or send what you type.

3.Third-party and security cookies

  • No analytics, advertising or social media tools. The website does not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, embedded videos or other third-party scripts.
  • Website protection network. The website is delivered through Cloudflare, which may use strictly necessary cookies to protect it from automated attacks. They are not used to track you for advertising purposes.
  • Client portal. If you log in to https://portal.ecohidro.com.co, the portal uses a session cookie (eh_sesion) needed to keep you signed in while you work: it lasts twelve hours, or thirty days if you tick “remember me”, and it is deleted when you log out.
  • WhatsApp and email. The WhatsApp and email buttons open your own application; those services have their own cookie and privacy policies.

4.Do you need to give consent?

No. The storage described is strictly technical, does not identify people and is not used to track you, so the Colombian data protection law (Law 1581 of 2012) does not require prior authorization. The notice shown on arrival is for information only. If in the future we added tools that require consent (for example, audience analytics), we would ask for your authorization before activating them and you could refuse them without losing access to the website.

5.How to delete or block storage

You can delete the stored preferences from your browser settings (privacy section, “site data” or “cookies and site data”), or block storage for this website. If you do, the website will keep working; it will just show the notice again and use the default theme.
